Your own space in Second Life is not a easy or cheap thing. Not everyone want to pay the price of some privacy. There are a lot of public sandbox places to drop and to organize your stuff. But not me. I always wanted my very own 512m2 parcel.
A month ago I bought a land in Mallee in the Linden’s My First Land program. It cost me just L$ 512.00 and now worth something like L$17,000.00. First lands are hard to find, but is the best way to get a parcel for residence (the program is dead). If you are in a hurry, you can search for land sales at the SL.
It is a new and nice region with a lot of curious newbies just like me. Nearby have a incipient commerce with a doors store, a nightclub, a tattoo studio and a russian photograph gallery.
There is a monthly land use fee. But if you are a Premium Membership you can have a 512m2 parcel with no extra taxes. Good business for a small pleasure at the end of the day…
